See the auth object in pjsip.conf.sample for detailed info. * Updated both res_pjsip_authenticator_digest.c (for UAS) and res_pjsip_outbound_authentocator_digest.c (UAC) to suport the new algorithms. The new algorithms are only available with the bundled version of pjproject, or an external version > 2.14.1. OpenSSL version 1.1.1 or greater is required to support SHA-512-256. If the option is not specified or is false, any response to the OPTIONS request marks the contact as available. Normally, when one party in a call sends Asterisk an SDP with a "sendonly" or "inactive" attribute it means "hold" and causes Asterisk to start playing MOH back to the other party. This can be problematic if it happens at certain times, such as in a 183 Progress message, because the MOH will replace any early media you may be playing to the calling party. If you set this option to "yes" on an endpoint and the endpoint receives an SDP with "sendonly" or "inactive", Asterisk will NOT play MOH back to the other party. Resolves: #979 UserNote: The new "suppress_moh_on_sendonly" endpoint option can be used to prevent playing MOH back to a caller if the remote end sends "sendonly" or "inactive" (hold) to Asterisk in an SDP.	12 months ago

Ben Ford	fb0e46e464	channel: Add multi-tenant identifier. ... This patch introduces a new identifier for channels: tenantid. It's a stringfield on the channel that can be used for general purposes. It will be inherited by other channels the same way that linkedid is. You can set tenantid in a few ways. The first is to set it in the dialplan with the Set and CHANNEL functions: exten => example,1,Set(CHANNEL(tenantid)=My tenant ID) It can also be accessed via CHANNEL: exten => example,2,NoOp(CHANNEL(tenantid)) Another method is to use the new tenantid option for pjsip endpoints in pjsip.conf: [my_endpoint] type=endpoint tenantid=My tenant ID This is considered the best approach since you will be able to see the tenant ID as early as the Newchannel event. It can also be set using set_var in pjsip.conf on the endpoint like setting other channel variable: set_var=CHANNEL(tenantid)=My tenant ID Note that set_var will not show tenant ID on the Newchannel event, however. Tenant ID has also been added to CDR. It's read-only and can be accessed via CDR(tenantid). You can also get the tenant ID of the last channel communicated with via CDR(peertenantid). Tenant ID will also show up in CEL records if it has been set, and the version number has been bumped accordingly. Fixes: #740 UserNote: tenantid has been added to channels. It can be read in dialplan via CHANNEL(tenantid), and it can be set using Set(CHANNEL(tenantid)=My tenant ID). In pjsip.conf, it is recommended to use the new tenantid option for pjsip endpoints (e.g., tenantid=My tenant ID) so that it will show up in Newchannel events. You can set it like any other channel variable using set_var in pjsip.conf as well, but note that this will NOT show up in Newchannel events. Tenant ID is also available in CDR and can be accessed with CDR(tenantid). The peer tenant ID can also be accessed with CDR(peertenantid). CEL includes tenant ID as well if it has been set. UpgradeNote: A new versioned struct (ast_channel_initializers) has been added that gets passed to __ast_channel_alloc_ap. The new function ast_channel_alloc_with_initializers should be used when creating channels that require the use of this struct. Currently the only value in the struct is for tenantid, but now more fields can be added to the struct as necessary rather than the __ast_channel_alloc_ap function. A new option (tenantid) has been added to endpoints in pjsip.conf as well. CEL has had its version bumped to include tenant ID.	1 year ago

This has proven necessary and has already been tested in production in several specialized environments where access to the underlying transport is unreliable in ways invisible to the operating system directly, so these keepalive and timeout mechanisms are necessary. Michael Kuron	841107f294	res_pjsip_aoc: New module for sending advice-of-charge with chan_pjsip ... chan_sip supported sending AOC-D and AOC-E information in SIP INFO messages in an "AOC" header in a format that was originally defined by Snom. In the meantime, ETSI TS 124 647 introduced an XML-based AOC format that is supported by devices from multiple vendors, including Snom phones with firmware >= 8.4.2 (released in 2010). This commit adds a new res_pjsip_aoc module that inserts AOC information into outgoing messages or sends SIP INFO messages as described below. It also fixes a small issue in res_pjsip_session which didn't always call session supplements on outgoing_response. * AOC-S in the 180/183/200 responses to an INVITE request * AOC-S in SIP INFO (if a 200 response has already been sent or if the INVITE was sent by Asterisk) * AOC-D in SIP INFO * AOC-D in the 200 response to a BYE request (if the client hangs up) * AOC-D in a BYE request (if Asterisk hangs up) * AOC-E in the 200 response to a BYE request (if the client hangs up) * AOC-E in a BYE request (if Asterisk hangs up) The specification defines one more, AOC-S in an INVITE request, which is not implemented here because it is not currently possible in Asterisk to have AOC data ready at this point in call setup. Once specifying AOC-S via the dialplan or passing it through from another SIP channel's INVITE is possible, that might be added. The SIP INFO requests are sent out immediately when the AOC indication is received. The others are inserted into an appropriate outgoing message whenever that is ready to be sent. In the latter case, the XML is stored in a channel variable at the time the AOC indication is received. Depending on where the AOC indications are coming from (e.g. PRI or AMI), it may not always be possible to guarantee that the AOC-E is available in time for the BYE. Successfully tested AOC-D and both variants of AOC-E with a Snom D735 running firmware 10.1.127.10. It does not appear to properly support AOC-S however, so that could only be tested by inspecting SIP traces. This causes interoperability issues with different equipment (e.g. from Cisco) for some of our customers and probably also in other scenarios involving 3PCC infrastructure. According to RFC 3261, section 14.2 we SHOULD return all codecs on a re-INVITE without SDP The PR proposes a new parameter to configure this behaviour: all_codecs_on_empty_reinvite. However, RFC2818 does make some allowances with regards to their use when using subject alt names with DNS name types. As such this patch creates a new setting for TLS transports called 'allow_wildcard_certs', which when it and 'verify_server' are both enabled allows DNS name types, as well as the common name that start with '*.' to match as a wildcard. For instance: *.example.com will match for: foo.example.com Partial matching is not allowed, e.g. f*.example.com, foo.*.com, etc... And the starting wildcard only matches for a single level. Currently, PJSIP will randomly wait up to 10 seconds for each outbound registration's initial attempt. The reason for this is to avoid having all outbound registrations attempt to register simultaneously. This can create limitations with the test suite where we need to be able to receive inbound calls potentially within 10 seconds of starting up. For instance, we might register to another server and then try to receive a call through the registration, but if the registration hasn't happened yet, this will fail, and hence this inconsistent behavior can cause tests to fail. Ultimately, this requires a smaller random value because there may be no good reason to wait for up to 10 seconds in these circumstances. To address this, a new config option is introduced which makes this maximum delay configurable. This allows, for instance, this to be set to a very small value in test systems to ensure that registrations happen immediately without an unnecessary delay, and can be used more generally to control how "tight" the initial outbound registrations are. The stir_shaken option can be specified on this object with the same values as before (attest, verify, on), but it cannot be off since having the profile itself implies wanting STIR/SHAKEN support. You can also specify an ACL from acl.conf (along with permit and deny lines in the object itself) that will be used to limit what interfaces Asterisk will attempt to retrieve information from when reading the Identity header. If the 'event' set to 'presence' or 'dialog' the non-empty HINT name will be set as the Display Name. The 'message-summary' is not supported yet. If remove_existing is enabled, the soonest expiring contacts are removed. This may occur when there is an unavailable contact. Similarly, when remove_existing is not enabled, registrations from good endpoints are rejected in favor of retaining unavailable contacts. This commit adds a new AOR option remove_unavailable, and the effect of this setting will depend on remove_existing. If remove_existing is set to no, we will still remove unavailable contacts when they exceed max_contacts, if there are any. If remove_existing is set to yes, we will prioritize the removal of unavailable contacts before those that are expiring soonest. George Joseph	9cc1d6fc22	res_pjsip_outbound_authenticator_digest: Be tolerant of RFC8760 UASs ... RFC7616 and RFC8760 allow more than one WWW-Authenticate or Proxy-Authenticate header per realm, each with different digest algorithms (including new ones like SHA-256 and SHA-512-256). Thankfully however a UAS can NOT send back multiple Authenticate headers for the same realm with the same digest algorithm. The UAS is also supposed to send the headers in order of preference with the first one being the most preferred. We're supposed to send an Authorization header for the first one we encounter for a realm that we can support. The UAS can also send multiple realms, especially when it's a proxy that has forked the request in which case the proxy will aggregate all of the Authenticate headers and then send them all back to the UAC. It doesn't stop there though... Each realm can require a different username from the others. There's also nothing preventing each digest algorithm from having a unique password although I'm not sure if that adds any benefit. So now... For each Authenticate header we encounter, we have to determine if we support the digest algorithm and, if not, just skip the header. We then have to find an auth object that matches the realm AND the digest algorithm or find a wildcard object that matches the digest algorithm. If we find one, we add it to the results vector and read the next Authenticate header. If the next header is for the same realm AND we already added an auth object for that realm, we skip the header. Otherwise we repeat the process for the next header. In the end, we'll have accumulated a list of credentials we can pass to pjproject that it can use to add Authentication headers to a request. NOTE: Neither we nor pjproject can currently handle digest algorithms other than MD5. We don't even have a place for it in the ast_sip_auth object. For this reason, we just skip processing any Authenticate header that's not MD5. When we support the others, we'll move the check into the loop that searches the objects. Changes: * Added a new API ast_sip_retrieve_auths_vector() that takes in a vector of auth ids (usually supplied on a call to ast_sip_create_request_with_auth()) and populates another vector with the actual objects. * Refactored res_pjsip_outbound_authenticator_digest to handle multiple Authenticate headers and set the stage for handling additional digest algorithms. * Added a pjproject patch that allows them to ignore digest algorithms they don't support. This patch has already been merged upstream. * Updated documentation for auth objects in the XML and in pjsip.conf.sample. * Although res_pjsip_authenticator_digest isn't affected by this change, some debugging and a testsuite AMI event was added to facilitate testing. If set to yes, then STIR/SHAKEN support will be added to inbound and outbound INVITEs. The default is no. Alembic has been updated to include this option. Previously the dialplan function was not trimming the whitespace from the parameters it recieved. Now it does. Also added a conditional that, when TEST_FRAMEWORK is enabled, the timestamp in the identity header will be overlooked. This is just for testing, since the testsuite will rely on a SIPp scenario with a preset identity header to trigger the MISMATCH result. Adds a new ast_sip_session_caps structure that's set for each session media object. Creates a new file, res_pjsip_session_caps that "implements" the new structure and option, and is compiled into the res_pjsip_session library. Default is true to keep support working as before. res_pjsip_refer: Configures PJSIP norefersub capability accordingly. Checks the PJSIP global setting value. If it is true (default) it adds the norefersub capability to PJSIP. If it is false (disabled) it does not add the norefersub capability to PJSIP. To prevent one subsystem's taskprocessors from causing others to stall, new capabilities have been added to taskprocessors. * Any taskprocessor name that has a '/' will have the part before the '/' saved as its "subsystem". Examples: "sorcery/acl-0000006a" and "sorcery/aor-00000019" will be grouped to subsystem "sorcery". "pjsip/distributor-00000025" and "pjsip/distributor-00000026" will bn grouped to subsystem "pjsip". Taskprocessors with no '/' have an empty subsystem. * When a taskprocessor enters high-water alert status and it has a non-empty subsystem, the subsystem alert count will be incremented. * When a taskprocessor leaves high-water alert status and it has a non-empty subsystem, the subsystem alert count will be decremented. * A new api ast_taskprocessor_get_subsystem_alert() has been added that returns the number of taskprocessors in alert for the subsystem. * A new CLI command "core show taskprocessor alerted subsystems" has been added. * A new unit test was addded. REMINDER: The taskprocessor code itself doesn't take any action based on high-water alerts or overloading. It's up to taskprocessor users to check and take action themselves. Currently only the pjsip distributor does this. * A new pjsip/global option "taskprocessor_overload_trigger" has been added that allows the user to select the trigger mechanism the distributor uses to pause accepting new requests. "none": Don't pause on any overload condition. "global": Pause on ANY taskprocessor overload (the default and current behavior) "pjsip_only": Pause only on pjsip taskprocessor overloads. * The core pjsip pool was renamed from "SIP" to "pjsip" so it can be properly grouped into the "pjsip" subsystem. * stasis taskprocessor names were changed to "stasis" as the subsystem. * Sorcery core taskprocessor names were changed to "sorcery" to match the object taskprocessors. The commit I2f97ebfa79969a36a97bb7b9afd5b6268cf1a07d removed sending out the ContactStatus AMI event when a contact is updated. Thist change broke things which rely on old behavior. This patch adds a new PJSIP global configuration option 'send_contact_status_on_update_registration' to be able to preserve old ContactStatus behavior. Nick French	37b2e68628	res_pjsip: Implement additional SIP RFCs for Google Voice trunk compatability ... This change implements a few different generic things which were brought on by Google Voice SIP. 1. The concept of flow transports have been introduced. These are configurable transports in pjsip.conf which can be used to reference a flow of signaling to a target. These have runtime configuration that can be changed by the signaling itself (such as Service-Routes and P-Preferred-Identity). When used these guarantee an individual connection (in the case of TCP or TLS) even if multiple flow transports exist to the same target. 2. Service-Routes (RFC 3608) support has been added to the outbound registration module which when received will be stored on the flow transport and used for requests referencing it. 3. P-Associated-URI / P-Preferred-Identity (RFC 3325) support has been added to the outbound registration module. If a P-Associated-URI header is received it will be used on requests as the P-Preferred-Identity. 4. Configurable outbound extension support has been added to the outbound registration module. When set the extension will be placed in the Supported header. 5. Header parameters can now be configured on an outbound registration which will be placed in the Contact header. 6. Google specific OAuth / Bearer token authentication (draft-ietf-sipcore-sip-authn-02) has been added to the outbound registration module. All functionality changes are controlled by pjsip.conf configuration options and do not affect non-configured pjsip endpoints otherwise. Some devices can't accept multiple Reason headers and get confused when both 'SIP' and 'Q.850' Reason headers are received. This option allows the 'Q.850' Reason header to be suppressed.
