Ben Ford	f6d2962566	documentation: Update Gosub, Goto, and add new documentationtype. Gosub and Goto were not displaying their syntax correctly on the docs site. This change adds a new way to specify an optional context, an optional extension, and a required priority that the xml stylesheet can parse without having to know which optional parameters come in which order. In Asterisk, it looks like this: parameter name="context" documentationtype="dialplan_context" parameter name="extension" documentationtype="dialplan_extension" parameter name="priority" documentationtype="dialplan_priority" required="true" The stylesheet will ignore the context and extension parameters, but for priority, it will automatically inject the following: [[context,]extension,]priority This is the correct oder for applications such as Gosub and Goto.	8 months ago

George Joseph	198b01c536	docs: Add version information to application and function XML elements * Do a git blame on the embedded XML application or function element. * From the commit hash, grab the summary line. * Do a git log --grep <summary> to find the cherry-pick commits in all branches that match. * Do a git patch-id to ensure the commits are all related and didn't get a false match on the summary. * Do a git tag --contains <commit> to find the tags that contain each commit. * Weed out all tags not ..0. * Sort and discard any .0.0 and following tags where the commit appeared in an earlier branch. * The result is a single tag for each branch where the application or function was defined. The applications and functions defined in the following files were done by hand because the XML was extracted from the C source file relatively recently. * channels/pjsip/dialplan_functions_doc.xml * main/logger_doc.xml * main/manager_doc.xml * res/res_geolocation/geoloc_doc.xml * res/res_stir_shaken/stir_shaken_doc.xml	9 months ago

Any function or application that accepts a `&`-separated list of filenames can now include a literal `&` in a filename by wrapping the entire filename in single quotes, e.g.: ``` exten = _X.,n,Playback('https://example.com/sound.cgi?a=b&c=d'&hello-world) ``` Fixes #172 UpgradeNote: Ampersands in URLs passed to the `Playback()`, `Background()`, `SpeechBackground()`, `Read()`, `Authenticate()`, or `Queue()` applications as filename arguments can now be escaped by single quoting the filename. Additionally, this is also possible when using the `CONFBRIDGE` dialplan function, or configuring various features in `confbridge.conf` and `queues.conf`.	2 years ago

For most modules that interacted with app_macro, this change is limited to no longer looking for the current context from the macrocontext when set. Additionally, the following modules are impacted: app_dial - no longer supports M^ connected/redirecting macro app_minivm - samples written using macro will no longer work. The sample needs a re-write app_queue - can no longer a macro on the called party's channel. This removes the ImportVar and SetAMAFlags applications which have been deprecated since Asterisk 12, but were never removed previously. Naveen Albert	b1d21f7667	pbx_builtins: Allow Answer to return immediately. The Answer application currently waits for up to 500ms for media, even if users specify a different timeout. This adds an option to not wait for media on the channel by doing a raw answer instead. The default 500ms threshold is also documented. SayAlpha, SayAlphaCase, SayDigits, SayMoney, SayNumber, SayOrdinal, and SayPhonetic all claim to allow DTMF interruption if the SAY_DTMF_INTERRUPT channel variable is set to a truthy value, but we are failing to break out of a given 'say' application if DTMF actually occurs. Naveen Albert	ddf6299b8d	func_sayfiles: Retrieve say file names Up until now, all of the logic used to translate arguments to the Say applications has been directly coupled to playback, preventing other modules from using this logic. This refactors code in say.c and adds a SAYFILES function that can be used to retrieve the file names that would be played. These can then be used in other applications or for other purposes. Additionally, a SayMoney application and a SayOrdinal application are added. Both SayOrdinal and SayNumber are also expanded to support integers greater than one billion. Corey Farrell	fee929c8ac	core: Remove non-critical cleanup from startup aborts. When built-in components of Asterisk fail to start they cause the Asterisk startup to abort. In these cases only the most critical cleanup should be performed - closing databases and terminating proceses. These cleanups are registered using ast_register_atexit, all other cleanups should not be run during startup abort. The main reason for this change is that these cleanup procedures are untestable from the partially initialized states, if they fail it could prevent us from ever running the critical cleanup with ast_run_atexits. Create separate initialization for dns_core.c to be run unconditionally during startup instead of being initialized by the first dns resolver to be registered. This ensures that 'sched' is initialized before it can be potentially used. Replace ast_register_atexit with ast_register_cleanup in media_cache.c. Sean Bright	001f4ddda4	pbx_builtin: Properly handle hangup during Background Before this patch, when a user hung up during a Background, we would stuff 0xff into a char and attempt a dialplan lookup of it. This caused problems for some realtime engines which interpreted the value as the beginning of an invalid UTF-8 sequence. Corey Farrell	a6e5bae3ef	Remove ASTERISK_REGISTER_FILE. ASTERISK_REGISTER_FILE no longer has any purpose so this commit removes all traces of it. Previously exported symbols removed: * __ast_register_file * __ast_unregister_file * ast_complete_source_filename This also removes the mtx_prof static variable that was declared when MTX_PROFILE was enabled. George Joseph	5e67e51c6a	main/pbx: Move pbx_builtin dialplan applications to pbx_builtins.c We joked about splitting pbx.c into multiple files but this first step was fairly easy. All of the pbx_builtin dialplan applications have been moved into pbx_builtins.c and a new pbx_private.h file was added. load_pbx_builtins() is called by asterisk.c just after load_pbx().
