Most of the configObjects and configOptions that are implemented with ACO or Sorcery now have `<since>/<version>` elements added. There are probably some that the script I used didn't catch. The version tags were determined by the following... * Do a git blame on the API call that created the object or option. * From the commit hash, grab the summary line. * Do a `git log --grep <summary>` to find the cherry-pick commits in all branches that match. * Do a `git patch-id` to ensure the commits are all related and didn't get a false match on the summary. * Do a `git tag --contains <commit>` to find the tags that contain each commit. * Weed out all tags not <major>.<minor>.0. * Sort and discard any <major>.0.0 and following tags where the commit appeared in an earlier branch. * The result is a single tag for each branch where the API was last touched. configObjects and configOptions elements implemented with the base ast_config APIs were just not possible to find due to the non-deterministic way they are accessed. Also note that if the API call was on modified after it was added, the version will be the one it was last modified in. Final note: The configObject and configOption elements were introduced in 12.0.0 so options created before then may not have any XML documentation.	3 months ago

Matthew Fredrickson	9f9dce05b2	netsock2: Add ast_sockaddr_resolve_first_af to netsock2 public API ... This function originally was used in chan_sip to enable some simplifying assumptions and eventually was copy and pasted into res_pjsip_logger and res_hep. Previously exported symbols removed: * __ast_register_file * __ast_unregister_file * ast_complete_source_filename This also removes the mtx_prof static variable that was declared when MTX_PROFILE was enabled. Matt Jordan	7f5ca67e5f	res_hep_{pjsip|rtcp}: Decline module loads if res_hep had not loaded ... A crash can occur in res_hep_pjsip or res_hep_rtcp if res_hep has not loaded and does not have a configuration file. Previously when this occurred, checks were put in to see if the configuration was loaded successfully. While this is a good idea - and has been added to the offending function in res_hep - the reality is res_hep_pjsip and res_hep_rtcp have no business running if res_hep isn't also running. As such, this patch also adds a function to res_hep that returns whether or not it successfully loaded. Oddly enough, ast_module_check returns "everything is peachy" even if a module declined its load - so it cannot be solely relied on. res_hep_pjsip and res_hep_rtcp now also check this function to see if they should continue to load; if it fails, they decline their load as well. Matt Jordan	e06a23681c	res_hep: Provide an option to pick the UUID type ... At one point in time, it seemed like a good idea to use the Asterisk channel name as the HEP correlation UUID. In particular, it felt like this would be a useful identifier to tie PJSIP messages and RTCP messages together, along with whatever other data we may eventually send to Homer. This also had the benefit of keeping the correlation UUID channel technology agnostic. In practice, it isn't as useful as hoped, for two reasons: 1) The first INVITE request received doesn't have a channel. As a result, there is always an 'odd message out', leading it to be potentially uncorrelated in Homer. 2) Other systems sending capture packets (Kamailio) use the SIP Call-ID. This causes RTCP information to be uncorrelated to the SIP message traffic seen by those capture nodes. In order to support both (in case someone is trying to use res_hep_rtcp with a non-PJSIP channel), this patch adds a new option, uuid_type, with two valid values - 'call-id' and 'channel'. The uuid_type option is used by a module to determine the preferred UUID type. When available, that source of a correlation UUID is used; when not, the more readily available source is used. For res_hep_pjsip: - uuid_type = call-id: the module uses the SIP Call-ID header value - uuid_type = channel: the module uses the channel name if available, falling back to SIP Call-ID if not For res_hep_rtcp: - uuid_type = call-id: the module uses the SIP Call-ID header if the channel type is PJSIP and we have a channel, falling back to the Stasis event provided channel name if not - uuid_type = channel: the module uses the channel name ASTERISK-25352 #close Change-Id: Ide67e59a52d9c806e3cc0a797ea1a4b88a00122c	9 years ago

Matt Jordan	4a58261694	git migration: Refactor the ASTERISK_FILE_VERSION macro ... Git does not support the ability to replace a token with a version string during check-in. While it does have support for replacing a token on clone, this is somewhat sub-optimal: the token is replaced with the object hash, which is not particularly easy for human consumption. What's more, in practice, the source file version was often not terribly useful. Generally, when triaging bugs, the overall version of Asterisk is far more useful than an individual SVN version of a file. As a result, this patch removes Asterisk's support for showing source file versions. Specifically, it does the following: * Rename ASTERISK_FILE_VERSION macro to ASTERISK_REGISTER_FILE, and remove passing the version in with the macro. Other facilities than 'core show file version' make use of the file names, such as setting a debug level only on a specific file. As such, the act of registering source files with the Asterisk core still has use. The macro rename now reflects the new macro purpose. * main/asterisk: - Refactor the file_version structure to reflect that it no longer tracks a version field. - Remove the "core show file version" CLI command. Without the file version, it is no longer useful. - Remove the ast_file_version_find function. The file version is no longer tracked. - Rename ast_register_file_version/ast_unregister_file_version to ast_register_file/ast_unregister_file, respectively. * main/manager: Remove value from the Version key of the ModuleCheck Action. The actual key itself has not been removed, as doing so would absolutely constitute a backwards incompatible change. That makes it nicer for folks who are upgrading to a new release in the middle of Asterisk 12. That's not the case for Asterisk 13: it's a brand new release. Matthew Jordan	ef0c9fe4d8	res_hep/res_hep_pjsip: Add a HEPv3 capture agent module and a logger for PJSIP ... This patch adds the following: (1) A new module, res_hep, which implements a generic packet capture agent for the Homer Encapsulation Protocol (HEP) version 3. Note that this code is based on a patch provided by Alexandr Dubovikov; I basically just wrapped it up, added configuration via the configuration framework, and threw in a taskprocessor. (2) A new module, res_hep_pjsip, which forwards all SIP message traffic that passes through the res_pjsip stack over to res_hep for encapsulation and transmission to a HEPv3 capture server. Much thanks to Alexandr for his Asterisk patch for this code and for a *lot* of patience waiting for me to port it to 12/trunk. Due to some dithering on my part, this has taken the better part of a year to port forward (I still blame CDRs for the delay).
